80-year-old grandmother fights off gunman

An who was attempting to sack her 61-year-old daughter.

Josefa Lopez told a Sentinel Sun she felt "no fear" when she used her aluminum shaft to quarrel off a gunman who had physically assaulted her daughter.

"I suspicion she was dead," Lopez pronounced in Spanish. "I yelled during [the gunman], 'I am going to kill you, [son of a b----]!' we wasn't myself. To me, she was dead."

The assailant, who dismissed a gunshot during Lopez though missed, is still during large. He reportedly pulled Lopez from her Ford Expedition, shouting, "Give me," and pistol-whipped her. That's when a 4-foot-9 Josefa took control of a situation.

"When we see your daughter in trouble," Lopez said, "you have to do something."

Lopez reportedly grabbed a gunman by a behind of his shirt and began pulling him pided from her daughter. She was about to strike him with her shaft when he dismissed a shot during her.

As it turns out, Teresa Medina was looking out for her mom as well. She says she began cheering during a conflict for her mom to leave a stage so she wouldn't be hurt.

"I was disturbed he was going to do something to my mother," she pronounced in Spanish on Wednesday. "I was perplexing to roar to my mom to run inside a house."

Medina was pushing her mom to see a Spanish accumulation uncover "" when a conflict occurred.  Lopez, who turns 81 today, pronounced she would do a same thing again, notwithstanding military warnings to not get involved.
