TV show choreographer gets 10 years for rape

LOS ANGELES (AP) A salsa dance instructor who worked on a TV uncover "So You Think You Can Dance" has been condemned to 10 years in jail for raping one lady and assaulting another.

Prosecutors contend

Alex Da Silva

gave dance lessons during salsa clubs where he met

aspiring dancers

he assaulted. The assaults were not associated to a TV show.

Da Silva

was convicted of raping a 22-year-old lady in 2002 and aggressive another lady with vigilant to dedicate rape in 2009.

The jury unresolved on 4 other counts, including dual some-more purported rapes. Those depends were dismissed.

A invulnerability profession says a women who indicted Da Silva were not revelation a truth.

Da Silva will be compulsory to register as a sex delinquent for life.
